Combating the Jihadist Influence in America
by Robin Edwards
The Greater New Orleans Tea Party hosted a lecture Tuesday evening with Christopher Holton of the Center for Security Policy. The CSP is a Washington DC based think tank organization that believes “international peace is most likely achieved, and America most secure, when our nation is strong and engaged with our key allies in ensuring freedom and democracy throughout the world.”
Mr. Holton said that the tea parties are the perfect organizations to help educate the public about the “global Islamic insurgency.” Over 70 countries have some form of Islamic grassroots movement including America. There are organizations at colleges, influence in prisons and recruitment in poor neighborhoods that spend billions of dollars each year to convert individuals to their faith. But this is not their main objective. The objective of these Islamic (Muslim Brotherhood) groups is to institute Sharia Law in each country. Islam knows that it has no chance of winning a war against America so they are choosing to destroy us from within “by our own hands.”
The Muslim Brotherhood believes that an economic system must be centralized and they oppose capitalism much like the socialist movement. There are currently 29 Islamic organizations in America who are using our own laws of freedom and democracy against us to implement these goals through Sharia Law.
The key to stopping this Islamic insurgency, Holton says, is to educate not only the public but also our politicians. A thorough understanding of Islamic methods and goals is instrumental in learning the difference between political correctness and national security. Representative Peter King (R-NY) is under fire for planning hearings at Capitol Hill to address the “growing threat of Islamic radicalization.” King is being accused of “McCarthyism” by 50 Muslim rights groups but the difference is that there is most definitely an insurgency in our country by a group with whom we are currently at ‘war.’
The Chinese military book, The Art of War, says in chapter 3:
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
The tea parties have focused on knowing America first. The goal has been to educated citizens on the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence as well as current legislation that violates these founding documents. The tea parties will stay informed on these hearings in Capitol Hill as well as being in constant contact with organizations like Act 4 America and Mr. Holton’s group. Mary Kass, the president of the Greater New Orleans Tea Party says, “We (citizens) have been apathetic too long on many issues threatening our country.” Her intention is to continue to provide information like this to her membership as often as possible and to anyone who will listen. Their meetings are open to the public.
Christopher Holton will be speaking with the Daughters of the American Revolution on February 21st, the Baton Rouge Pachyderms on February 24th and the Slidell Republican Women on February 25th.
