Vitter Reacts to Oil Spill Commission Report

'Sorely disappointed' in ongoing drilling shutdown

(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Sen. David Vitter today issued the following statement in response to the National Oil Spill Commission’s release of its report on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill:

“The report is credible and helpful in a number of ways. But I was sorely disappointed that no mention was made of the Gulf still being virtually shut down nine months after the fact, which is completely unnecessary and counterproductive. Related to that, I think statements in the report suggesting that the horrible misjudgments that led to this incident are systemic are really overstated – just not supported by facts,” said Vitter.

Myself and many other Louisianians fully agree with your statement Sen. Vitter! Obama has no caring thoughts nor plans on how to run this Country. It's a proven fact on his two years of doing nothing! He relies on his cornies from Chicago. What a gang Obama has chosen!
