Founder and President of Rasmussen Reports, to be Keynote Speaker at the 36th LABI Annual Meeting

(Baton Rouge, LA) – LABI is proud to have Scott Rasmussen as the keynote speaker at the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) annual meeting luncheon to be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge. This year’s meeting promises to deliver up-to-the-minute information on both the state and national political scenes.

The morning panel, beginning at 10:30 a.m., features state officials and politicians discussing the state budget, its anticipated deficit, and the impact on overall state operations. State Representative Jim Fannin, chair of the House Appropriations Committee; Commissioner of Administration Paul Rainwater; and State Senator Jack Donahue, who chaired the government Streamlining Commission, will inform the audience about the state fisc and what they anticipate being the top issues during the upcoming fiscal legislative session.

Scott Rasmussen is the luncheon keynote speaker. Rasmussen is the Founder and President of Rasmussen Reports, one of the nation’s premier sources for public opinion information. He has been an independent public opinion pollster since 1994 and is a frequent guest on Fox News, CNBC, the BBC, and other major media outlets. Rasmussen has a reputation for delivering reliable, newsworthy, and actionable public opinion data. He has the ability to translate numbers into meaningful analysis and commentary in a manner that both informs and entertains.

While Rasmussen is most noted for political polling, his company also provides extensive coverage of business, economic, and lifestyle issues. This enables him to speak with authority on current events, underlying trends, and the questions that Americans are curious about.

Accuracy and stability are hallmarks of Rasmussen tracking polls. A Fordham University analysis ranked Rasmussen Reports as the most accurate national polling firm in Election 2008. Rasmussen no doubt will have a lot to say about the November 2010 elections and the future of federal politics. He likely will have interesting comments about Louisiana’s political landscape as well.

Following Rasmussen’s presentation, the Honorable Governor Bobby Jindal will make brief remarks to the audience.
