Tea Party Tells Martinez “NO”

October 29, 2010

ZACHARY, La. – The Tea Party Political Action Committee said they would not endorse Republican Mayor Henry Martinez. The Tea Party PAC said, “Mayor Martinez is not the type of public official we want in public office. Our members only support candidates that support the Constitution. They must be honest, trustworthy, qualified and have strong family values.”

Who are Tea Party members? CBS News Poll Analysis by the CBS Polling Unit published in the Washington Post; Tea Party members are 89% white 11% minority. They are better educated than most Americans. 37% are college graduates earning over $50,000.00/yr. 54% are Republicans, 41% Independents and 5% democrats. They are more likely overall to attend religious services weekly. 61% are Protestant and 22% Catholic.

Most keep a gun in house and support the NRA. They believe in lower taxes, less government and are angry about the health care reform bill passed by Obama. They feel congress is doing a poor job and no longer represents the people. They believe their liberties, freedom and property are in danger because of government control. Most feel our current government is drifting toward socialism. They feel government spending is out of control and the present direction of the government is destructive to our economy.”

While Mayor Martinez is a decent man. He has suffered and recovered from some serious health problems that could cause anyone to have a few moments of bad judgement. Afterall, he is human.

The Tea Party has misjudged this man. Mayor Martinez is a God fearing man and holds the same values as most of the citizens of Zachary.

When his opponent was Mayor Pro-Tem, it seemed as if he did not respect others if they disagreed with him.

While Mayor Martinez may not always agree with his constituents, he is willing to listen to opponents and treat them with respect.

While Mr. Amrhein's Father-in-Law was good for Zachary, it doesn't mean that Mr Amrhein will be. There seems to be very little customer flow at his father's Hardware store now. Perhaps his father-in-law is campaigning for him so he can get another job. Maybe, he's just looking out for his daughter's welfare.

If Mr. Amrhein becomes Mayor of Zachary, will it decline? Why rock the boat in a time where the entire nation is in financial trouble. Mayor Martinez knows what Zachary needs to continue growing. He is a good man and a good Mayor! Please consider re-electing Mayor Martinez on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.

"Why rock the boat in a time where the entire nation is in financial trouble."

That is such an awesome sell job for your candidate. Make that stupid statement and attempt to bring down the opposition instead of saying what Henry himself can do.

Apparently, Zachary has also told Henry Martinez "NO".

Good riddens. Congrats to David Amrhein.
