Sangisetty Camp: “We Win Debate, Jeff Landry continues to lie to voters”
HOUMA, La. — Ravi Sangisetty, Democratic nominee for Congress in Louisiana’s Third District, won last night’s HTV debate.
Sangisetty for Congress Campaign Manager Julienne Uhlich said Ravi Sangisetty clearly won last night’s debate.
“Ravi talked to the voters with the honesty and respect they deserve,” Uhlich said. “Jeff Landry lied about his record on issues such as Social Security, the Charity Hospital System and holding BP one hundred percent accountable.”
Last night Jeff Landry said he wanted to protect Social Security, but earlier in the year, he said he wanted to raise the retirement age to 70 years old and phase out Social Security and Medicare and let charitable organizations take the lead. Last night Jeff Landry said he campaigned on holding BP accountable, but he never so much as mentioned BP in his primary debates and BP is nowhere to be found in any of his press releases. “Wherever Jeff Landry goes, lies and corruption follow,” Uhlich said. “This district deserves honorable, new leaders. Political insiders, such as Jeff Landry, put this country on the wrong track.”
