Won’t accept taxpayer-funded healthcare or pension, won’t raise own pay “The taxpayers are funding bailouts, golden parachutes, pay raises and Cadillac health plans for career politicians.”

HOUMA, La. — Ravi Sangisetty, Democratic nominee for Congress in Louisiana’s Third District, pledged to turn down Congressional perks.

“The taxpayers are funding bailouts, golden parachutes, pay raises and Cadillac health plans for career politicians,” Sangisetty said. “I’m different. I won’t take taxpayer funded healthcare or retirement. I won’t become a lobbyist after I leave, and I’ll never vote to raise my own pay.”

Sangisetty said South Louisiana needs representatives to get the job done and come home.
