Governor Jindal Signs Bills into Law

BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced that he has signed the following bills passed by the Legislature into law, bringing the total to 148 bills signed into law to date:

HOUSE

HB 10 – Rep. Wooton
This bill recreates the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.

HB 28 – Rep. Wooton
This bill relates to release on bail under certain conditions during emergency sessions of court.

HB 114 – Rep. Mills
This bill relates to the Prescription Monitoring Program Advisory Council.

HB 153 – Rep. LaFonta
This bill extends the La. Commission on HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis C. until September 2014.

HB 197 – Rep. Mills
This relates to the Prescription Monitoring Program.

HB 312 – Rep. Smiley
This bill allows a minor at least 16 years of age to donate blood with parental consent.

HB 372 – Rep. Pearson
This bill relates to speed limits on I-10 in St. Tammany Parish.

HB 380 – Rep. Hutter
This bill relates to the definition of “rural hospital.”

HB 615 – Rep. Katz
This bill re-authorizes the Dept. of Social Services and its statutory entities until 2015.

This bill relates to Medicaid case mix reimbursement methodology for nursing homes.
