Governor Bobby Jindal Announces the Reappointment of Norman McCall to the Cameron Parish Board of Election Supervisors

BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the reappointment of Norman McCall to the Cameron Parish Board of Election Supervisors.

The Jackson Parish Board of Election Supervisors, within the Parish Boards of Election Supervisors, monitors the preparation for and the conduct of elections within Jackson Parish.

According to the statute, the Parish Boards of Election Supervisors is compiled of a board from each parish in the state, which includes the specific parish’s registrar of voters, clerk of court, chair of each parish-recognized political party or their designees, and a gubernatorial appointee residing in that parish. All gubernatorial appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.

Norman McCall, of Cameron Parish, is the manager of Seacor Marine. McCall will be reappointed to serve as a gubernatorial appointee residing in Cameron Parish, as required by statute.
